Harlow hit the road on Wednesday night for the long journey away to play Brightlingsea Cossacks in the Essex League, a team they had previously beaten this season at home in the cup competition.
In a tight first quarter some strong inside play from Rimas and Coach Shab hitting a pair of three pointers saw them both scoring 6 points each in the quarter which ended with the home side a point up.
Hawks kept it tight in the early stages of the second quarter with Rimas again battling inside but struggling to convert from the free throw line, the Cossacks getting stronger and more confident as the half drew closer with some physical play pulling out to a 12 point lead by the end of it.
After some stern words from Coach Shab at halftime the Hawks fought hard to cut into the deficit with scoring from all over the team and some physical play of there own they ended the 3rd quarter only 7 points down.
Into the last quarter Hawks struggled and despite another pair of 3 pointers from Coach Shab the game slipped away with some contentious refereeing decisions and tiring legs leading to an 88-71 loss and a first defeat of the season.
