1st Quarter: 2 v 28
The boys got off to a flying start in the game scoring freely and accumulating a lot of offensive rebounds, steals and restricting the Rockets to only one shot grabbing a lot of defensive rebounds which was a real key for us pre game. The boys passed the ball well and scored lay ups with good concentration.
Freddie had a strong first quarter as with last week which helped us to get off to the fast start we needed and Zach’s confident jump shots . This was a solid quarter for us.
2nd Quarter: 2 v 28
This quarter carried on the good play at both ends with no let up. We controlled our defensive boards allowing us to run and score lay ups and getting on the offensive board with energy and good aggression. We had six steals in this quarter and all the boys played decent defence with active hands without fouling.
3rd Quarter: 6 v 31
This was our highest scoring quarter of the game and the boys amassed a whopping 13 steals and 3 deflections 1 of which led to a steal. We were getting active in the passing lanes but also moving our feet well enough to protect the path to the key and basket. We had a good spread of scoring also which was making us difficult to guard and some nice assists too.
4th Quarter: 10 v 18
The final quarter was not our best as we stuttered slightly towards the century mark.
The shots were just not falling and the Rockets improved offensively. We shared the ball okay and Ethan had some good looks to get us to the hundred but the ball just didn’t want to drop. Richard had a strong final quarter to help us ensure we won each quarter and maintained our dominance.
