As we get further into the season, Hawks still haven’t managed to secure their first win. However
Hawks’ spirits were high as they desperately wanted that first win. This week Hawks were facing
Bucks Hornets. Unfortunately only six players were available for Hawks, so effort throughout them
players had to be high. Jack Aylott started off the scoring and giving Hawks the first lead of the
game, however as Hornets picked up the intensity Hawks struggled to get going offensively and
Hornets gained the lead. The score at the end of the 1st quarter was 28-8.
Going into the second quarter Hawks picked up the intensity on both ends of the court and started to claw back at the 20
point lead. Hawks won the 2nd quarter by two points but unfortunately the score going into the half
was 42-24 in favour of Hornets, despite Hawks efficiency from the line.
Dustin Tahirou stared off Hawks offensive in the second half, however Hornets increased their lead during the second half
despite Jakub Fridrich’s defensive efforts who ended the game with 15 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2
steals. As the 6 Hawk players’ began to tire the Hornet lead grew and the game ended 89-38 to the
Hornets.
