Match Report

The first match of the season at home. Second game playing as a team. There was still unbound chemistry in the side but the players were still fired up because of the previous loss.

After match warm ups it was was time for tip-off. After Harlow winning tip-off both teams struggled to score. The game pace was slow and many time outs were used to both teams advantage. As the first quarter ended it ended with both teams on 8 points. The Harlow team came together to try find a new way to mark and defend as a whole. The team decided to play full court press to try and get many turn overs to get fast breaks and easy lay ups. The sniper team struggled getting out of the full court press because they lacked skill from their bigs.
The half ended. Harlow had outscored their opponents be 7. As the third quarter started the Snipers team began to struggle on offence. They had many turn overs and struggled to put it in the hoop. This is where the Hawks team exploded on offence and scored a quarter high of 21. Most of these point were off Sniper turnovers.
As the end quarter started the Hawks went back to a half court press to lay off and protect our massive lead. Snipers had good shots and good and ones. The Hawks still stayed strong and outscored the team again. The chemistry seemed to blossom and the game ended 63-37. A big blow out game from the Hawks. Each player of the Hawks roaster added with good effort in each possession.
