Code of Conduct for Participants\Coaches
- Respect the decision of the referee and table officials at all times.
- Promote the positive aspects of the sport (e.g fair play, shaking your opponents hand before and after a game, applauding the opposition, applauding your team mates)
- Respect the decisions made by your coach.
- Publicly accept the officials’ judgements.
- Discourage unfair play and arguing with the officials.
- Play within the rules of the game\tournament.
- Use proper language at all times.
- Encourage teamwork by passing the ball to players that are open.
- Discourage selfish play and showing off.
- Accept victory and defeat with humility and dignity and without excessive emotional display
Code of Conduct for Parents & Spectators at Junior Games
- Encourage your child/children to learn the rules and play within them.
- Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.
- Help your child/children to recognise good performance, not just results.
- Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all.
- Do not ridicule players who make mistakes.
- Do not shout abuse at officials, coaches, players or other spectators.
- Refrain from undue public criticism of other coaches or match officials.
- Accept the decisions of match official without question or complaint (let your coach as the necessary questions)
- Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.
- Use correct and proper language at all times.
- No photography\videoing at JCVL event unless have a visible pass and have signed photography form
- Parents\Spectators not to enter the playing area during any stage of the game unless requested to do so by the coach.
- Accept victory and defeat with humility and dignity and without excessive emotional display
Code of Conduct for Social Media
- We respect the right of individuals to use Social Media for personal use. The use of social media should be done in a safe and responsible way.
- THINK BEFORE YOU POST
- All opinions expressed by users of social media sites are expressed strictly in their individual capacity and not as a representative of the club
- Do not use obscene, defamatory or threatening language in reference to anyone involved in any games/sessions
- Do not pass out your personal data or that of others to anyone that you do not know
- If you are not sure, then don’t post.
Failure to abide by the Codes of conduct by Coaches/Officials/Players and Parents may result (in severe cases) with them and / or their team being asked to leave the tournament\game\sessions or serve a ban.
