Leopards return to Harlow
Levett Essex Leopards will make their first appearance of the season in Harlow when they face East London All-Stars in the National Cup on Sunday October 15, tip-off 3.15pm.
With the Brentwood Centre, Leisurezone and Oaklands all unavailable, the game will be staged at another new venue – Mark Hall Sports Centre – where Hawks stage their JCVL games and summer camp..
There’s plenty of free parking, and prices have been slashed to £5 for adults, £2 for children, £10 for a four person family (max two adults) and £12 for a five person family (max two adults). Season tickets valid for this game.
However seats are limited at this venue, and it recommended that you book in advance through this website.
Both sides had big wins in the second round of the competition, Leopards destroying Anglia Ruskin 114-41 while East London (formerly Newham Neptunes) provided arguably the biggest shock of the competition so far with a 74-46 home win against London Westside.
But while Leopards were opening their league season with an 83-77 win at Westminster, All-Stars went down 83-79 at Solent Kestrels II in Division Three South.
The side met several times during East London’s previous incarnation of Newham Neptunes with the Big Cats winning 83-53 at the Brentwood Centre and 73-66 in the 2014/15 season as Leopards won the Division One title and the east London side were relegated.
With London Lituanica having closed down, the side already know who the winner of the tie will face, with a home game against Thames Valley Cannons and if Leopards are successful on Sunday that tie is also likely to be played in Harlow.
